Golden Heart Ranch® is creating and building a “life center” community with dedicated volunteers and staff, comfortable housing, on-site jobs, planned social activities, and recreational facilities, made to be a life-long residence for special needs adults. In order to address the growing demand for special needs housing, the community is also being designed as a model that can be replicated in communities across the nation. We communicate actively with sister organizations and have organized the FRED Conference on March 1-2, 2013 to coordinate expertise between nonprofit farms and ranches that house special needs residents. Our Ranch will house approximately 50 developmentally disabled young adults (18 and up) and provide a community in which they can live, learn, work and play. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
The FRED Conference is an opportunity to join a national coalition of special needs professionals and families. We will share information and create a forum to advance adult living options for people with disabilities.
